Transition, New Life

7:22 AM

Sometimes in life there will be many up and down experiences that you tend to go through. One of the moments for me has been choosing the right career paths; trust me it has a been a complete roller coaster. I know you guys may wonder what I am talking about, because I have not ever really gotten personal about my life on here before. However, I thought it was time for me to let my readers a little into my life story.

I have always wanted to be a blogger, stylist, and beauty guru; but it came a point in my life that I needed a back up plan because we all know how that goes. Blogging became a hobby and a passion of mind that I just could not let up; other than that I went off to college. And this is when everything became difficult for me.

I always had dreams of being a teacher and I could see myself in a classroom of my own. However, when major in Secondary Education English, I became discourage because everything became difficult or either I was not ready for this big load. I know what you are thinking, how can majoring in education be so difficult? What a lot of people do not know is that this major comes with a lot of hard work and dedication, just like any other major. So after realizing this, I became a business major and that is another story to be told. Long story short, that did not last long and I went back to being an Education major.

Going back into this major, I was happy and everything seemed to be great until the challenges of the Praxis Test came along. This is what turned me into an English major. I loved reading the novels and poetry; this was just an easy outlet for me. I graduated December of 2014 with a Bachelors in English, however, I something was still calling me to be a teacher. Well, for the past year and half I was going back and forth with testing and trying to get into the right graduate school that was for me, and I was really ready to give up on what I wanted to do. Recently, I was offered a position to teach secondary English in Columbia, SC. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

I tell you guys this story because God has a season for everyone, and if it's not ready for you then you just have to sit and wait. God's timing is never wrong and he will let you know when it is your season, and this is my season. I have been waiting for this for a long time, and I could not thank Him enough. So if you are wanted to do something in life, do not give up, just keep pushing and always keep God first. God has a plan instilled for everyone.
