Life in 2018 had many ups and downs (more ups than downs). God blessed me tremendously in 2018, and if you were watching me on my social media outlets  then you know why. My life changed drastically (in my Cardi B vc). Finding out that I was pregnant in February was a major life changing event. That was something new to me and I was overjoyed. 

Giving birth to a beautiful baby girl on November 9th was such an amazing experience that I cannot even explain. 

Not only that, but I also got engaged on August 12th, something that I always dreamed of since I was a little girl. Knowing that I will be marrying the love of my life and the amazing father of our little girl is exciting (stay tuned for wedding details).

Besides those amazing events in my life, 2018 has had many challenges. I was overly tired and mentally drained (pregnancy), and was not consistent with any of my goals. Blogging really fell off and did not really get anything accomplished like I wanted to with this platform. Also, my business was continuing, however, many things did not go as planned with that either.

On the other hand, I plan to soar in 2019 and I cannot wait for y’all to enjoy the ride. 2019 will be a year of blooming and blossoming for me.

So as most of my Bombshell's know, for the past nine months I have been struggling with the upkeep and posting for my blog because I am expecting a baby girl within a week! Yes, I said a week. The time has flown by so quickly, and I am looking forward to getting back to blogging. I have missed it sooooo much, however, it's been a struggle with my fatigue and I just was not feeling like myself.

However, to ease my way back into things I decided to take this beautiful maternity photos to get you all excited to look forward to more blogs from me in the future. 

I am excited to let you all in on my journey to get back in shape, being a new member of motherhood, and a stylish mother all at the same time!

Without blogging I did not feel like myself, and I knew something was missing. In a positive note though, this has prepared me to provide you with new content for the upcoming months and New Year.

For the past several months (since Feb.), I have had trouble getting on task and staying consistent within my blog and my business. Mainly because I am pregnant and was experiencing fatigues. I have not been able to succeed the way I have wanted to, and it really made me feel discouraged.

Now that I am six months pregnant, I have gotten some of my energy back. I have been praying to God looking for answers to get me up and going; now is the time. Beginning this year, I made it set that I was going to this and that to ensure that I was taking everything to the next level. However, life hit me and I got off track some. Getting back on track is what I am trying to do the remainder of 2018. 

I wanted to share with you some of my motivational books and mantras that I will be focusing on to get myself together.

Focusing on my spiritual side and what God has for me is and will be my main focus point. Without God, you will not go far in life, and you will never figure out the purpose that is intended for you. Following daily sermons and scriptures will motivate me to the highest power to know what direction to go. 

I am a sucker for good reads, especially ones about girl power and affirmations over life. Motivational books like these help me push forward and guide my mind to better thinking. It's like food for my souls and gears me up to what God has for me.

What are some of your motivational routines and mantras?

It's Fashion Friday! I know it may be a little late for this post on sandals for the Summer, but I am still here for discussing Summer essentials. I know some of us by now are ready to start talking layering for Fall, however, I think we can still fit a couple more Summer fashion talks into the discussion. 

Lately, my favorite shoes to pop on is a pair of sandals (it's probably because I am pregnant and need everything to be comfortable that I wear). I want to show you some of my favorite styles that I personally love. 

Here is a pair of pearl slide on sandals that I picked up from Stein Mart. These are my top favorite because they are a statement sandal; they describe the girly girl in me. 

Next, I have a couple that I picked up from Rainbow (don't sleep on them because they have some great deals). These are just a few basics that I can slide on with anything, whether I am dressing up or down. I love the rose gold detailing on the blush pink slide on sandals.

Finally, are some Guess chained sandals that I have yet to wear, but I will soon. I always admired sandals that stand out, so this was definitely one that was on my bought list. 

What are some of your favorite essentials for Summer?

Lately I have been trying to stay on top of my goals and it just wasn't happening. For the past three months I have been ultra tired, and I could not push through to get anything done. I would just go to work (I am a full-time teacher and I work after school in the evenings) and come home in sleep. This was completely unusual for me.

Well March came around (March 1st) to be exact, I took a test and I found out that I was pregnant. I was shocked and nervous, to know that I had a little person growing inside of me. I would never forget the feeling and looking at at the test in that very moment. I immediately called my boyfriend to tell him the news and he was so excited. 

We knew we are embarking on a new journey and we are ready for it. I did have some thoughts considered that we are not married yet. However, everyone has a way at life, and I know we are just doing it different. Really, I can care less about what people say about the order that we chose to do things.
