Poetic Justice

It's almost the weekend and I am super late on this post, but it's finally here! I am serving all poetic vibes here and I am loving it. Literally, I have come to the conclusion that I am going to create every look that comes to my mind because it turns out to be fun and trendy. This has to be one of those looks that just describes the mood that I am in for that day.

I decided to go with the snapping of the fingers, poetic vibe and add a little twist on it. Like really, who have you seen with a kangaroo hat lately? I'll wait... no one. Okay, maybe LL Cool J still wears his from time to time but no one really is wearing them. That is what makes this look so unique, as well as the stylish fashion glasses. You have to add some type of personality within your outfits.

But seriously though, I wanted to put a look together that was going to blow your minds. Some may not feel the whole poetic vibe twist but I am loving it because it is different, however, it's me.

Everything that I have on here is from my closet, and it's nothing that is really "new". However, outfit ideas will be listed below.

Red Haute To Taut

Here's to another Tuesday in the month of October and so far, I must admit that I have been being loyal with these post (this month at least). I can't believe how fast this month is moving too! Like literally, we have 2-3 months left of this year. It's a time to really grind within your purpose and get all those goals that you had planned for 2017 checked off. And, hey if you didn't get to some move it on to the next year, but this time how can you excel with it.

October is a month that you start brainstorming the next chapter (20180 in your life and what goals you are going to put in place. Any who enough of the babbling on, I love to put my favorite blazers to use during this time. Blazer are an essential to the Fall Style genre and your closet should be filled up with plenty that you can mix and match from.

You may be asking yourself where do I pick up my blazers from, but the truth is that it is no where fancy. I always find a local thrift store to pick up pieces like these and I'm always in luck with every find. Some people say it's hard for them to find great pieces like this, but not for me at least.

I paired this bright red blazer with a simple black tee and some biker shorts. I decided go full throttle with the boots (Fashion Nova) to give it some funk. Oh yea, I added little Taz in the photo too; isn't he cute?

Denim Love

Fall is finally here and I'm ready to get these Fall trends going for 2017. It's feeling a little breezy outside here in Charleston, S.C. and I thought I would have started this season off with a nice denim on denim trend. You all know that this trend will never get old; it's one of my favorites, to say the least.

The whole ensemble of denim on denim in your closet during this season is a must. You can dress it down or up, to each its own, but you have to style it in either way.

I choose to dress it up with some ankle distressed jeans and a simple buttoned down top. I also added a pop of color with my magenta opened toe heels, with a floral clutch.

You can never go wrong with this look and I am pretty sure you will get more than enough compliments.

You may not know that I am an educator and style is something that I look forward to expressing every day at school. I love putting different looks together and getting the ultimate amount of commentary each day. I am always looking for a work outfit to set the next bar high. I am a Secondary English teacher (high school), so dressy professional is always a must. However, you may think it can get boring but I love to make it fun and audacious.

Like this outfit, for instance, I am playing with patterns while keeping that minimalistic detail amongst the colors. Escalating the pattern, while keeping the colors simple catches the eye and attention of others.

I was in love with this look.

Weekly Facial Self Care

Hi Bombshells, so this Sunday I took the time to give myself that ultimate facial and I loved every moment of it. Sometimes it is just good to treat yourself, and this is something that you can do at home. I define self-care from everything mentally to physically, and I love to at least one day out of the week that is dedicated to me. I focused on both of my self-care on Sunday's, but today we are going to hit on my physical aspects of it all; skin/facials.

Above you can see all the products that I used to take on this self-care day. First, I use my apricot scrub (Dollar General Brand) to get rid of all blackheads and blemishes on my face. With this application, I put to use my Big Lots Clarisonic brush ($8). This really helped me work the product through my skin.

Next I applied the Yes To Miralce Oil Calm and Soothe face mask. I picked up this item from Target for about $2.50. All of the items used are very inexpensive; that is what's so great about my self-care routine. However, this product helps with redness of the skin.

Afterwards, I applied my Sephora Rose under eye pads to my face. I left it on for about fifteen minutes, and this helps with dark circles under your eyes (which I tend to suffer from). I must say this product is very moist and you will not lose any of your money from this product lol.

Finally I applied my Vitamin E oil to my face. Whala! I completed my self-care routine and I enjoyed every moment of it. During this routine I did partake in a glass of Rose.
