Countdown For 2020

5:00 AM

I must say that 2019 has been a very challenging year for me. However, there were some lessons in it all that I can apply to this upcoming year, which I'm looking forward to. I found myself trying to get back to the person that I was prior to having my beautiful baby girl. It was a bit of a struggle bus. I was all over the place with my goals and I was not prioritizing my goals right. All I knew was being a mom and fiance, work, and repeat. That's it. I didn't take the time to do the things that I loved doing: blogger, my business, and just being a girl boss in general. For 2020, I am aligning things differently, and my clearer.

My top three prioritizes that I look forward to completing for my countdown to 2020:

1. Changing my mindset and habits. Everything is mind over matter. Getting into the groove of things involves you being able to put yourself in places that you haven't gotten to yet. Notice I said yet. I (and YOU) will eventually get there. Believe and you shall receive.

2. Aligning My Goals With My Vision. Alignment is everything. Without setting your goals and aligning them with your vision, you will find yourself doing hurdles and going in circles. Then, where are you? Still at phase one. Creating a master plan and a blueprint is helpful in assisting you with your vision. It directs you in your path to getting somewhere and knowing the next step. Aligning your goals to your vision also requires you to align yourself with God, know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Faith and belief are everything.

3. Execution Over Excuses. I largely use to find excuses as to why I wasn't doing things or getting things done. Most recently, I just had to say enough was enough. If I wasn't pushing myself then who could else. You are the number one supporter when it comes to fulfilling your dreams and aspirations. It was time that I threw the towel in for fear, anxiety, depression, excuses, etc. And it was time that I took on what is required of me to get ahead of the game. It was time to put all ten toes down.

You are the only person that can get in the way of your goals and aspirations. Granted, there are times where you will feel defeated and you will want to give up, but you have to keep pushing. I was in that place, but it is time that I change the game upon myself through faith, mind over matter, and execution. I look forward to 2020 and what it has to offer. Don't give up on yourself, push yourself. It's time to break the yoke.
